f-u-r connects technology, engineering, and design by research. Physical models are linked with computer simulations and than feed back into 1:1 mock-ups, industry and structural engineers are integrated in the design process. The power of fully integrated production and digital continuity is progressively explored as new technologies emerge.
The practice was founded in spring 2002 by Mirco Becker and Oliver Tessmann after a long term collaboration in various research projects. f-u-r operates internationally and is based in Germany and the UK.
